Pulido Transport attended the Greater Houston Port Bureau July 2022 Commerce Club Luncheon on July 14. The keynote speaker was Matt Melvin, Senior Director/General Manager of Walmart Distribution Center 7078 in Elwood, Illinois. Mr. Melvin has over 30 years of global logistics experience. Before joining Walmart, Mr. Melvin spent over 26 years on active duty service with the U.S. Army retiring at the rank of Colonel. Mr. Melvin provided insight into how Walmart efficiently manages it’s distribution network leveraging technology and best practices.

The event provided insight into how one of the nation’s largest retailers meets the volatile demands of consumers. The luncheon was also a great opportunity to network with leaders within the Port of Houston. Alex Suescun, CFO, represented Pulido Transport.
